Accessibility statement

We're committed to making AssuraCover usable by everyone — including people who rely on assistive technology, keyboard navigation or reduced-motion settings.

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across every page of assuracover.com. This is the same standard required of UK public-sector websites and the level recommended for private companies.

What we do today

Keyboard-only navigation: every interactive element on the site can be reached and operated without a mouse.

Screen-reader support: links, buttons, headings and landmarks are semantically labelled. Hash-link navigation moves focus to the destination heading so screen readers announce new content.

Reduced motion: if your device has 'reduce motion' enabled, page-to-page transitions and smooth scrolls automatically switch to instant.

Colour contrast: body text and primary CTAs are designed to meet or exceed the WCAG 4.5:1 contrast ratio.

Resizable text: the site remains readable and usable when text is zoomed to 200% in the browser.

Where we're not perfect yet

Like most growing sites, we know there will be gaps we haven't found. If you hit a barrier — a button you can't reach, a label you can't read, a form that doesn't work with your assistive tech — please tell us. We treat accessibility issues as high-priority bugs and aim to fix them within two weeks.

Report an issue

Email accessibility@assuracover.com with a short description of the problem, the page URL, and (if possible) the assistive technology or browser you were using. We'll acknowledge within three working days.

Standards & testing

We test against WCAG 2.1 AA using a combination of automated tools (axe-core, Lighthouse) and manual keyboard + screen-reader testing. Independent audits are commissioned at least annually.
